Women Within (2005 – 2010)

Work created during the years the artist suffered from sleep deprivation that compounded the effects of illness, and during the five years the artist was bedridden by severe pain from the spasticity. She lived in a bedroom of darkness to relieve pain from constant headaches. The artists life disappeared trying to sleep through seizures which washed over as flames burning her brain and a body hard to move in it’s rigidity. It was her body she was trapped within the woman inside hadn’t changed

Woman Within as part of the Retrospective galleries were preceded by the Sleep galley then went into the galleries of New Work.
