WATERLESS TEARS
IN THE LAND THAT GLOWS
In waterless tears my angel did come
To bring me moisture when there was none
Arid was my heart all burned with pain
Lost was my voice never to sing again
She cloaked me in her robes of gold
Held me in her arms and made me strong
My angel bathed me from a life long gone
When all was forsaken and everything wrong
She brought horizons of pastel hues
Showered me in treasures I was long overdue
How silent her voice
How soft her touch
She spoke through nature
And I never believed in such
The proof was the eating
So I dined ’til I was full
My legs become strong
And my body tall.
I walked into the landscapes
I walked from the past
My life was then open
She said it would last
