ROOM WITH A VIEW
Graphite On Watercolor Paper

Silently

IN A ROOM WITH A VIEW

“Heal me!”
“I’m injured!”
Encompass me in your warmth.

“I’m injured;
and my mind is all fraught.”
“It hurts,
it hurts on every level I’ve known.”
“It bleeding hurts.”

“Ah you say admit your pain.”
“Easy for you.”
I fall into refrain.

How can I give into this:
A blatant assault on the life I intend to live?
“Ah the little bleeder,
bleeding my soul,
starving me of energy –
Ah to relax and bathe in gold.”

“Yeah! this is a real rotter,
Yep, it really is.”
“You’ve got to laugh,
oh boy you really do.
When oh so many things
go all wrong for you,
that now,
you’ve become
oh so comic-al.”

“Yer got to laff or else yer’d cry”
“I cannot think of any wisdom given –
better to get me by.”
